Hello. I’m Sarah and I founded Foot of the Hill in 2017. Prior to that I spent twenty years creating and managing online services for some of the biggest names in educational publishing.
Since 2017, Foot of the Hill has provided consultancy, training and product management services to a range of industries including publishing, screen skills, tourism and net zero.
In 2026 I’m excited to be taking the business in a more hands-on direction. Foot of the Hill now offers friendly, professional, affordable website services to individuals, small businesses, charities and voluntary groups.
Why Foot of the Hill?
Starting my business meant coming home after years of commuting. I wanted my company name and logo to celebrate the place I’ve lived most of my life.
Foot of the Hill is the name of the bus stop at the end of my road. The hill is Leckhampton hill, part of the Cotswold escarpment. A favourite walk up the hill from my house takes in the Devil’s Chimney, a strange and famous landmark left behind by the quarry men 100 years ago.
